For CNC machine tools, the CNC system is equivalent to the brain of the machine tool. All machining instructions and motion control are given by the CNC system. First, let's look at the definition of the numerical control system. The numerical control system is the abbreviation of the digital control system. Although China's numerical control system has made great progress, more than 90% of the numerical control system of high-end CNC machine tools in China are foreign products, especially for high-end CNC machine tools urgently needed by the national defense industry. The high-grade CNC system determines the performance and function of machine tool equipment. Key factors of reliability and cost, while foreign countries still block the restrictions of China, which has become a bottleneck restricting the development of high-end CNC machine tools in China. The numerical control system is basically a product that combines software and hardware, but the added value is basically mainly reflected in the software.


The high-end CNC system will be more diversified in function selection. In terms of efficiency, precision, surface finish, etc., a good system can be processed at a faster speed, and the accuracy is more in line with the factory requirements, and the roughness is better controlled. At the same time, a good CNC system can maintain more stable processing performance in daily work. It can prevent and take corresponding emergency measures in case of various mechanical failures. After the failure occurs, it can be easily restored to normal. Working status.


Compatibility is also important for CNC systems. Good systems will consider supporting multiple interfaces, standards, protocols, formats, etc., while the latter can only support fixed types.


For most manufacturers, it is a good deal to spend a slightly higher price in exchange for higher stability and reliability in daily production. Just like the Apple mobile phone, even if the price is high, there are still many people to buy. In addition to the beautiful appearance, in fact, more people pay attention to the fluency and stability of the mobile phone system. Of course, the brand recognition of Apple's mobile phone is also an important factor for people to buy, just like the systems of Siemens, FANUC and Mitsubishi. Since people in the industry have used it, then it is definitely not going to go anywhere.


Overall, the high-end CNC system has advantages in terms of practicability, reliability, compatibility, stability and humanization compared to the low-end CNC system. According to the requirements of one of the major national science and technology major projects, "High-end CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment", by 2020, the market share of domestic CNC systems for domestic medium and high-end CNC machine tools will reach more than 60%. Therefore, the future CNC system has a very broad space for development. It is also hoped that the domestic CNC system will continue to exert its strength and continuously accumulate experience to produce a numerical control system with higher technical content and wider application performance.
